Principal Guymon continued the discussion with the Council to determine greatest academic needs for the SIP for the upcoming year. He shared the results of the anonymous survey sent out to teachers, some of those ideas that would be eligible for Trustland funds included:
Other ideas were suggested that do not align with the parameters for the funding.
Principal Guymon cautioned the Council about allocating a large portion of the funds to staffing because it is so hard to find people interested in the positions. Dan Kent agreed stating that it has been an ongoing problem for several years.
Discussion on the SIP Y2022-2023 will continue at the February Meeting.
Council members questioned the effectiveness of Learning Academy, Principal Guymon surveyed anonymously the teachers participating in that program and 95.2% feel LND Trust money should be used to fund a 2022-2023 Learning Academy.
